After 12 months of continuous efforts, our company officially launched the HJ140x series high-temperature four-channel digital isolators on July 1, 2015, filling a market gap in this field in China!
Traditional digital isolators or signal isolators use optocouplers (electrical signal - optical signal - electrical signal) for isolation. However, under harsh electrical conditions such as high temperature and high radiation, interference from infrared or other rays can severely affect signal isolation and even the normal function of optocouplers. Isolating through other means is particularly significant.
The HJ140x series is a four-channel digital isolator based on 'magnetic isolation' technology. The HJ140x series uses high-speed CMOS and integrated hollow transformer technology, offering superior performance compared to other isolator devices (such as optocouplers).
Magnetic isolator devices do not use LEDs and photodiodes, avoiding the design difficulties associated with traditional optocoupler usage. Magnetic isolation digital interfaces have stable performance while eliminating typical optocoupler issues such as uncertainty in current transfer ratio, nonlinear transfer functions, temperature and lifespan effects; they also do not require additional drivers or other discrete components. Furthermore, at the same signal data rate, the power consumption of magnetic isolator devices is only 1/10 to 1/6 that of optocouplers.
The HJ140x series isolators have four independent isolation channels with different channel configurations and transmission rates. They can operate with a power supply voltage of 2.7V to 5.5V on either side, providing compatibility for low-voltage systems while also achieving voltage conversion through isolation barriers. Additionally, the HJ140x series features low pulse width distortion (<2ns CRW level) and strict channel-to-channel matching performance (<2ns CRW level). Unlike other optocoupler alternatives, the HJ140x series isolators have recovery capabilities to ensure DC correctness under conditions without input logic transitions and during power-up/power-down.
Can be used for general multi-channel isolation, SPI interface/digital conversion isolation/, RS-232/RS422/RS-485 transceivers, industrial bus isolation, etc. Its features include:
