HJ590 is a temperature sensor integrated circuit whose output current is proportional to absolute temperature. The circuit includes a high-resistance continuous current adjustment transistor, which ensures that the device outputs 298.2uA at 298.2°K (25℃) through laser trimming. For application, only a resistor, voltage source, and voltmeter are needed to complete temperature measurement, without the need for linear circuits, precision voltage operational amplifiers, resistance measurement circuits, and low junction temperature circuits. In addition to temperature measurement, it can also be used for temperature compensation or correction of discrete components. Due to the device's high impedance output current characteristics, it is insensitive to voltage distortion during long-distance measurements, making it widely applicable for remote measurements. It can also be used in composite applications, such as using the device's current output for switching in composite CMOS or using the voltage output for switching in logic thyristors.
